Enhance accuracy, credibility, and trust
Verification helps ensure that wage gap data is not only accurate but also trusted by internal teams, suppliers, worker representatives, and external stakeholders.
It is particularly important for making claims and public reporting, but also supports investment decision-making, target setting, demonstrating compliance, and social dialogue. Verification can take different forms depending on company needs, from basic data checks that confirm accuracy, through to full third-party accreditation for those seeking a higher level of external assurance.
IDH Salary Matrix auditor guidelines & base report
The Guidelines for Auditing (Directrices de Auditoría) establish the minimum procedures for verifying the accuracy and completeness of wage data entered in the salary matrix tool.
The Base Report (INFORME BASE) is a template auditors can use to document the evidence collected and how it supports their conclusions.
Auditor training and accreditation
IDH provides access to formal training and accreditation for auditors. This training aligns with the IDH Guidelines for Auditing and equips participants with a practical understanding of how the Salary Matrix works, its guiding principles, and how to verify the data entered in it.
Accredited auditors have completed the required training, passed the necessary examinations, and maintained their credentials through ongoing professional development. A public list of accredited auditors, along with the auditing organisations that meet IDH’s recommended standards, is available on our partner website here.
