Use recognised standards to identify credible living income benchmarks, calculate income gaps, and assess available verification options, building trust with key stakeholders.

What does it mean?

Measuring is the critical first step in understanding where income gaps exist. It involves identifying a credible living income benchmark, calculating the difference between actual household income and the living income– also known as the living income gap - and verifying data to ensure accuracy and build trust amongst supply chain partners. Accurate measurement establishes the baseline for planning and action.
